Rules of Conduct

The purpose of this website is to create a community for people who are interested in deepening their spiritual lives but are uncomfortable with institutional religion. lindsayboyer.com is committed to maintaining a welcoming and safe community in which such people may explore their spiritual beliefs.

By registering as a member of lindsayboyer.com, you agree that you will not display content, or engage in any activity, that:

1. is illegal, or advocates illegal acts;
2. exploits or endangers a minor, or invites private communication between a minor and an adult;
3. compromises anyone's privacy by using or revealing personal information;
4. condones or may provoke violence toward any individual or group on the basis of age, disability, gender, ethnicity, race, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation, even if religiously motivated;
5. is vulgar, violent, or dishonest;
6. uses lindsayboyer.com community functions to harass or censure any person, group, or entity;
7. violates intellectual property rights; or
8. may cause or encourage substantial harm or damage to lindsayboyer.com or its members.
Furthermore you agree that you will not permit anyone else to display such words or images, or engage in such activity, on any lindsayboyer.com pages you control.

lindsayboyer.com is a website for people with questioning minds who seek to strengthen their spiritual and prayer lives. The site provides information about spirituality and prayer practices and a forum where people with questioning minds may discuss spiritual issues together through the domain name lindsayboyer.com (the "Site"). These Terms of Service ("TOS") set forth the legally binding terms that govern your use of the Site. You may choose to simply browse lindsayboyer.com “Content” as a "Visitor" or you may choose to register with lindsayboyer.com and become a "Member" so that you may post materials on our Site. When we use the term "Content", we mean both lindsayboyer.com Content and User Content collectively.

Whether you are a Visitor or a Member, by using this Site you are agreeing to be bound by these TOS. If you become a Member, there are some additional rules that apply to you--see paragraph four below. If you do not agree to the terms of service, please do not use the site. Member Rules of Conduct and User Content

lindsayboyer.com hosts a forum and an online lectio divina group on the Site. Members are expected to abide by the Rules of Conduct that are set forth above. If you are a Member and you fail to comply with the Rules of Conduct or these Terms of Service your access to the Site may be terminated.

You are solely responsible for the User Content you post on or through the Site and the consequences of posting such User Content. By posting such User Content, you represent and warrant to us that you have the necessary licenses, rights, consents and permissions to enable inclusion of the User Content in the manner contemplated by this Site and these TOS. You agree that you will not post User Content that is copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post such User Content.

If you elect to use the "Send-To-A-Friend" referral service, we will ask for your friend's name(s) and e-mail address(es). lindsayboyer.com will automatically send a one-time e-mail inviting your friend(s) to visit the Site.
